I can’t read the name, but I’m pretty sure the last character means “child” in Japanese (“ko”) and IIRC is also used as a diminutive. I suspect the Chinese usage might be similar.

Great music, Plover. I like the Mum through and through. And Down With Wilco is one of my favourite albums period. But awesome awesome on the Clue to Kalo find. I heard them open for Architecture for Helsinki and was immediately impressed with their music. I mean really really impressed. Which meant that I then had to erase all memory of the band from my memory thereafter. I see that they made a version of the Beatles Mother Nature’s Son. Must hear …
