The Nausea

is becoming indistinguishable from everyday existence. I find I could find certain karmic religious notions palatable, perhaps if those eternally deserving, those perpetrating their crimes out of nothing but choice, might get their certain and obvious due. Sadly, I can only think of something perpetrated upon my person by Professor Booty, his having forced me to watch the episode of Oz where Schillinger gets it from what’s his name in the prison weight room.

  • You weren’t supposed to tell me that Schillinger gets it. I’m only on season 5.

  • Oh, he didn’t “get it”- he got a hot lunch or whatever the kids call it. Mudslide? After getting konked in the head with a metal weight.

  • Ok, that. There are lot of “its” to get in Oz.

Did you just see the one episode by itself, out of sequence? I suspect the show makes very little sense without seeing it from the beginning. The relationships between characters are so twisted that it probably looks like people doing random insane things without all the context.

  • Sounds like 3 Bulls to most people anywhen.

  • Oz is a well done show that is voyeuristic in the extreme. I was always very uncomfortable watching it. I feel like a lot of people watched it for the creative violence/depravity/dehumanization. They enjoyed the deliciousness of the twists and turns.

I think I saw a good deal of that season so I know how Schillinger victimized Mr. Drunk Driver.

Everyone that was on that show I can only think of as on that show, so Mr. Eko is Adebisi, the other guy from Lost (who I hate) seems like he should be in a wheelchair. Only Edie Falco has transcended her Oz character.

  • That’s because she can fly.

  • “Sounds like 3 Bulls to most people anywhen.”

    I second that emotion

  • Emution.
